I have been letting Revas through Barefoot for the past 4 years and have found them to be extremely efficient and entirely professional in all aspects of their business. The marketing side of things is excellent, as is the general cleaning, staging, and running of the property and as a result, we experience a high level of both new and return bookings. Barefoot Retreats have helped us from the very beginning. They gave us advice on which locations were best. Then once we found a place, we loved, they came to the site and before the builders were called in, they advised us on how we could get the best return from the house, and they provided a very detailed forecast of expected returns. We followed their advice of what was needed for the house and since completion we have left Barefoot Retreats to look after the property. We rarely get a call if there is a problem as the Barefoot team are very capable and sort out most issues without a fuss. It has enabled us to enjoy the house when we want to and leave the team at Barefoot Retreats to do what they do best. The guests that Barefoot encourage to use the property have always respected the house and it is great to go to the house and know it has been looked after and cared for while also allowing others to enjoy it.

We have been letting out our property though Barefoot Retreats for over 3 years now and we are very happy with the guests that have stayed and the service that the holiday rental team have provided. We have been especially impressed with Zoe and Sam, they have addressed any little problems we have had swiftly and are very pleasant to deal with.

They provide guidance and feedback to us on how we can maximise rentals, and a careful watchful eye over the property when we are not there. They particularly enjoy getting the details right! Really open and responsive in every way, I feel as if Barefoot shares our goals.

Barefoot retreats do an excellent job of managing our holiday lets for us organising guest bookings and changeovers including cleaning and any maintenance issues. We are very happy to leave the day to day running of our properties in the hands of Barefoot and have very little involvement over the course of the holiday season. The guests also seem very satisfied with Barefoots’ service often making very positive comments in the guest books.

I’m considering buying a home to let, where do I start?

If you are in the early stages of buying a home, we can help you search for the right house, in the right setting. With our specialist local knowledge, we will take you through all the most beautiful, unspoiled locations along the North Norfolk coast. We also have an impeccable contacts list and can assist with introductions to estate agents, architects, reputable builders, and interior designers.

If you have a property in the area and are looking to bring it to the holiday rental market, our brilliant team is here to assist you with all the information and insight you need to make that all-important decision.

We would be only too happy to have an informal, confidential chat with you about all the benefits that we offer with our services and the fresh, innovative approach we can bring to your property.  Our team can help assist a smooth transition between agents.

Once we join the Barefoot portfolio what happens?

As a homeowner we support you across every aspect of the rental process. This begins with getting to know our owners and taking time to understand what makes each property we represent one-of-a-kind. We will then make it our job to give your home all the care and attention it deserves. With a keen eye for detail, our expertly trained Housekeeping Team will make sure your home is meticulously cleaned and checked every changeover. Our Property Services Team will manage the maintenance of your property, regularly inspecting it for any areas that might require attention. We always notify you if anything arises and will put things in motion on your behalf with local tradespeople.

Our Reservations Team will look after all guest correspondence, payments, communications, and liaison prior to, during and after a guest stay. We also provide 24-hour support for guests and attend to any concerns that may occur during their stay. Unlike other agencies, we never provide guests with your contact details and endeavour to resolve any issues on your behalf.

We’ll take care of all the marketing of your holiday home, including advertising it in local, regional and national press; promoting it via social media and online adverts; on our website and in printed materials and brochures; and through regular attendance and sponsorship of local shows and events. We cover the cost of professional photography and videography. Barefoot provide a luxury welcome hamper for guests and manage the cleaning, gardening, maintenance and supply and laundering of linens, towels, bathrobes and slippers for you and our guests and check on your property every two weeks when it isn’t occupied.

What do Barefoot Retreats look for in a self-catering property?

We look for properties that are full of charm and character, design, and innovation, giving our guests a truly individual stay. We have a real commitment to quality and luxury, and we like this to be reflected in the properties that join our portfolio.

What facilities do we need to have for a luxury self-catering property? 

Great facilities are also important to our guests, some of our properties are home to private swimming pools, games rooms, tennis courts, and hot tubs. In addition to super facilities, the property should contain well-appointed rooms with high-spec fixtures and fittings, excellent audio-visual equipment and Wi-Fi should come as standard; so too, dedicated parking. 

What are the legal requirements for letting our property?

The property must be legally compliant for renting (which we would be more than happy to help you with) and should be maintained to an exceptional standard. 
Our dedicated property team is experienced at offering advice and recommendations to homeowners, or those looking to purchase or adapt their existing home for the rental market. We are always open to discussing opportunities and if the property aligns with our guidelines and requirements, we’d be pleased to carry out a free rental appraisal and create a financial forecast for you.

Do you restrict when homeowners can use their property?

We fully respect that this is your property and there are no restrictions on homeowner bookings. We encourage you to enjoy your home as much or as little as you choose.
