Beach House
Brancaster • Sleeps 10 • Dogs welcome
The Beach House is a unique retreat that has been lovingly created by its owner to showcase the best of artisan Norfolk craftsmanship. At every turn, you are treated to bespoke staging and rooms that have been prepared with a thoughtful concern for the comfort of its guests. Tucked away in a quiet location in Brancaster, you could not wish for a more convenient location to enjoy the wild, sand dune lined beaches and salt marshes that make North Norfolk special. With Burnham Market, Holkham, Wells and Thornham all nearby, you'll be spoilt for choice when choosing a restaurant or places to explore.
Sitting Room
A place to relax and enjoy the company of others, integrating seamlessly with the glazed hallway and open-plan kitchen/dining area beyond. In the cooler months, enjoy some cosy comfort in front of the wood-burning stove.
Throughout the house, you’ll be able to enjoy the light and airy nature of the design. With the generous windows, bi-fold doors and ceiling lights, the house is a magnet for natural light.
Kitchen and Dining Area
Yet more fabulous design greets you as you enter the kitchen and dining room, encouraging lazy starts and late evenings entertaining. Linked to the sitting room via the impressive glassed hallway, the living spaces on the ground floor are equally suitable for gathering or for finding a quiet moment to enjoy the ambience of the house.
While the house exemplifies intriguing design, do not be concerned about style over substance. In the kitchen, the excellent people at Naked Kitchens have been used to create a contemporary space that is packed with equipment. A great place to cater for your group from, while still being close to the action and goings-on around the large dining table that sits adjacent.
A full inventory of crockery, cutlery and glassware is also provided. In addition, the room also has a breakfast counter and three upright stools.
Next to the dining table, you have the option of opening up the bi-fold doors to the enclosed rear garden. This is particularly handy when you have children that wish to play, giving the parents a chance to relax at the table while still being able to keep tabs on the whereabouts of the youngsters.
Utility Room
Adjacent to the kitchen, you’ll have a handy utility room. Facilities include a washer, dryer and sink.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
The Beach House provides five quiet bedrooms, one of which is on the ground floor. All have been furnished with comfy beds and are quiet places to enjoy a peaceful rest. All bathrooms within the house have been fully renovated, complete with high quality fixtures and good water pressure. Using contemporary decorative finishes including Bert and May tiles, handmade mirrors and splashbacks, locally sourced elm vanity units and beautifully designed lighting.
Bedroom one is located on the ground floor and offers twin beds. Nearby on the ground floor, you have a walk-in shower room.
Bedrooms two and three have king sized beds and both are ensuite with a power shower and WC.
Bedrooms four features a king size bed that can also be made as twin beds. If you would prefer the twin arrangement, please confirm this at the time of booking.
Bedroom five has twin beds.
There is also a family bathroom situated on the 1st floor landing and has bath and shower, WC and basin.
Outside
The enclosed, west facing rear garden is a versatile space that offers something for all. The grassed area is perfect for your children, offering a safe space well away from any busy roads. For the adults, you have ample outside seating and a BBQ, perfect for long summer evenings when the sun does not set until well past 9PM.
At the front, the Beach House is accessed via a private driveway and has off-road parking for up to five cars.
Location
A key destination for any visit to the North Norfolk coast, Brancaster offers a wide range of activities and opportunities for all ages. Both villages have been formed around the ‘coast road’ (A149) and can easily be explored by walking the pathways that link the two together. You will find excellent places to eat, offering locally caught produce from the harbour at Brancaster Staithe, mussels and oysters are real local delicacies.
Brancaster also offers one of the UK’s most challenging links courses, the Royal West Norfolk. The adjacent beach features spectacular wildlife including seals, waders, skylarks and the odd passing hobby. For those looking to explore the surrounding seas and creaks, boats and canoes can be hired from Brancaster Staithe harbour. For the uninitiated, why not begin your sailing with some expert training with the local experts.
