Bern’s Cottage is a stunning example of a modern rural retreat set on the outskirts of Burnham Market. Take a short trip into the centre of the village to sample its array of independent shops, galleries and restaurants. Here you will find all your necessities in one place and will be spoilt for choice with great places to eat! Alternatively, venture out to the coast just a couple of miles away and explore the expansive Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
This comfortable four-bedroom detached home provides ample space for all the family and is a great place to relax and enjoy some quality time together. Outside you can enjoy the pretty, enclosed garden with its raised lawn and sheltered seating area. Don’t forget to venture into the garage for a spot of table tennis, healthy family competition is encouraged!
Entrance to the property is via the stunning Orangery. This spacious, inviting room is perfect any time of year – bask in the summer sunshine and open the doors and windows to bring in the fresh countryside air or enjoy the warmth of the underfloor heating in the winter. There is a large comfortable living room providing ample space for all the family, featuring a large corner sofa, separate sofa and arm chair, wood burning stove, large smart TV and DVD player. In the sideboard you will find a selection of DVD’s and games to keep the family entertained! There are also French doors connecting to the orangery which can be opened to create one extensive room.
There are four generous bedrooms spread over the two floors.
Bedroom 1: set on the ground floor this spacious room offers a double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. The ground floor shower room is located just next door.
Bedroom 2: located on the first floor overlooking the garden and Orangery. This large bedroom has ample space with a king size bed, built in wardrobe, chest of drawers and an en suite featuring a rain effect shower, sink, WC and heated towel rail.
Bedroom 3: a twin-bedded room on the first floor with a built-in wardrobe and chest of drawers. The 2 large Velux windows make this room lovely and light. The family bathroom is located next door.
Bedroom 4: this huge master bedroom has views to three aspects including Burnham Norton Church, the garden and across the surrounding fields where you will see cattle grazing. Featuring a super king size bed, two built in wardrobes, chest of drawers, dressing table, TV and its own en suite bathroom. The en suite has a bath with rain effect shower over, sink, WC and heated towel rail. There is also a separate area with a cot as you enter the room.
There is one ground floor family shower room, one first floor family bathroom and two bedrooms have their own en suites.

The garden is fully enclosed (with the entrance gates closed) and has two distinct areas. In the summer there is also a charcoal BBQ available to use so make use of the beautiful garden and Orangery on those long summer evenings.
There is also a garage with a Table Tennis Table – perfect for keeping the children (and big kids!) entertained.
To the front of the property there is off road parking for 2-3 cars.
