Set in the popular village of Burnham Market, Charnwood Cottage is the perfect place for those looking for a calm, sophisticated, relaxing, laid-back retreat! Ideally located just a short walk from the vibrant village green with its array of independent shops and eateries, yet away from the hustle and bustle so that you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity afforded by traditional village life. The main house has two charming bedrooms and a great open plan living space for entertaining and socialising with your family and friends. There is also a stylish self-contained annexe set at the end of the garden with its own bedroom, lounge, bathroom and kitchenette area, perfect for those wanting their own space while not being too far away from the action!
Upon entering the property, you are immediately welcomed into the cosy lounge area, which is elegantly furnished and equipped with a comfy sofa, two armchairs, a wood burning stove and a Smart TV including Sky Q. From here you have access to the stairs while the room seamlessly links to the kitchen area.
The contemporary kitchen is centred between the lounge and the dining area, and is well-equipped with a dishwasher, a built-in electric oven and ceramic hob, an under-counter fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, kettle, toaster and a Nespresso coffee machine.
The dining area is filled with natural light from the large skylight in the roof above and the patio doors, which can be opened up onto the garden. The dining table can comfortably accommodate six guests and can be extended should further room be required. There is also a sofa at the opposite end of the dining room affording and nice light space in which to enjoy some relaxed reading time!
There is a separate utility room accessed from the dining room which houses the combined washing/drying machine, iron, ironing board and cleaning equipment. There is also a separate WC located at the end of the utility room.
Bedrooms & Bathroom
Bedroom 1: Overlooking the front of the property, this room is furnished with a double bed, chest of drawers and wall hanging space.
Bedroom 2: Overlooking the attractive rear garden, this room is furnished with a king size bed, chest of drawers and a built-in wardrobe.
The Shower room is located between the two bedrooms and is equipped with a walk-in power shower, hand basin, WC and heated towel rail.
Located at the end of the garden is a self-contained annexe with additional accommodation for two guests and has been cleverly designed to separate the room into 3 areas.
Open the sliding patio doors and you will find yourself in the comfortable lounge area, furnished with a two-seater sofa, coffee table and a Smart TV.
Just around the partitioning wall there is a cosy bedroom area with a super king size bed.
Adjacent to this there is a spacious bathroom featuring a bath with shower over ? including two shower options ? rainfall effect or power shower, a wash hand basin, WC and a heated towel rail.
At the rear of the annexe there is also a kitchenette which is equipped for your basic food and drink requirements with a fridge, small dishwasher, sink and kettle.
Positioned between the main house and the annexe is a beautifully designed enclosed garden. There are two patio areas, one outside the dining area with relaxed seating for two where you can sit and soak up the sun, and one outside the annexe with a table and chairs for enjoying some al fresco dining. There is also a gas BBQ for you to use on those warm summer evenings! Between the two patio areas there is a low maintenance gravel area that has been planted with attractive grasses, shrubs and lavender plants. There are also some solar powered string lights along the fencing providing a relaxed, romantic atmosphere in the evenings!
Unrestricted parking is available roadside at the front of the property.
