Field Piece Cottage is a lovely luxury self-catering holiday home set in the beautiful village of Burnham Market situated a stones' throw from the stunning North Norfolk coast with its wide skies, beaches and open spaces and probably some of the best coastal walks you could find. Sleeping 10 in five bedrooms, this is a spacious property to relax in and enjoy the best of Norfolk in while you enjoy some well-deserved down time! Field Piece Cottage has recently undergone some extensive renovations to the ground floor area and we're sure you'll enjoy this property even more!
With its traditional village atmosphere, village greens and the pretty goosebec which runs through the village, Burnham Market is regularly voted Norfolk’s loveliest village and is the perfect place to shop, dine or stay. So many towns today are dominated by multiples but Burnham Market has thirty highly original independent and specialist shops, delis and art galleries,renowned restaurants and hotels to enjoy.

Stylishly furnished, Field Piece is a lovely self-catering holiday cottage in North Norfolk which has comfort high on the agenda. The interior styling is modern with a classic edge with characterful flourishes of charm. A Norfolk pallet of muted colours provides a calming backdrop for a well-earned restful break in this lovely part of the country.
The cottage is ideally placed to to eat out for breakfast, lunch or dinner. You might even spot the young royals who have a house close by, or a celebrity or two while you wander around the village centre.
Out of peak season the property can also be booked as a three bedroom property that accommodates up to 6 guests.
The ground floor has recently been renovated to create a large, spacious, contemporary open plan living area combining the kitchen, dining area and lounge, as well as a separate utility/laundry room where you will find a washing machine, tumble dryer, sink and microwave.
The kitchen is a great size and is well equipped, allowing you to conjure up an evening meal using all the best of Norfolk produce which is on sale in the village. The comfortable lounge area is centred around the open fireplace, the perfect place to hunker down in the colder winter months. The bright and open orangery houses the extensive dining area and a secondary relaxed seating area. Being surrounded by glass windows and with a large lantern roof above, this beautiful area is filled with an abundance of natural light and provides views over the courtyard garden and village playing field beyond. This room is perfect to gather your party for a sit down meal or to kick back and relax with a good book and a glass of wine!
Bedrooms and bathrooms
There are five bedrooms in all; three on the first floor and two in the attic. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with shower attachment, whilst the double and twin bedroom share the family bathroom which has a bath with separate shower.
On the second floor, there are two further twin bedrooms which sit in the eaves and have vaulted ceilings which give a cosy feel to the rooms. There is a modern shower en-suite off one of the twin bedrooms. When booking the property as a sleeps 6 the second floor twins are not available.
Both the master bedroom, double bedroom and the attic rooms have views over the playing field towards the village centre. Sumptuous linens will surely provide a blissful uninterrupted night’s sleep.
Downstairs there is a newly renovated large walk in shower room, perfect for washing those sandy toes!
With open views to the rear this lovely property has a small but perfectly formed rear terrace garden which catches the sun’s rays throughout the day.
Enjoy gentle banter with friends and family and enjoy a G&T on the terrace before heading down to NoTwenty9 for dinner on an evening, just a short stroll through the village. Or head to one of the many cafes or delis for morning coffee or breakfast.
Field Piece Cottage provides a quiet haven and you will feel tucked away in the private and secluded walled garden which is accessed from the newly renovated orangery.
There is off-road parking for up to four cars located at the front of the property.
Enjoy summer days relaxing in the bright and light orangery where you can enjoy breakfast before slipping out onto the paved terrace. Winter nights are best spent snuggled up in front of the open fire with a good book and a glass of port (or two!)
If you want to head to the beach and are looking for a bucket-and-spades adventure, then jump in the car and head to Wells-next-the-Sea, Brancaster or Holkham which are only a short drive away by car. Holkham is often cited as the most beautiful beach in England and it has to be seen to be believed with its huge expanse of white sand, flanked by the famous pine woods. In early July you might even be lucky enough to see the soldiers and horses from the Household Cavalry who can be seen cantering along beach as they enjoy two weeks holiday away from London city life.
For the more energetic, head to the village tennis courts and playing field which is just behind the cottage. Or of course enjoy paddle boarding at Burnham Overy Staithe or a walk to nearby Burnham Thorpe, the birthplace of Norfolk’s hero, Admiral Lord Nelson and learn about his long association with this part of North Norfolk.
