Perfect for families or friends wanting a pretty cottage in a fabulous location it has the added benefit of two parking spaces, which is sometimes are hard to find in this village which boasts some of the best restaurants, boutiques, shops, galleries, delis and foodie shops to be found in the area.
It has a spacious ground floor with kitchen/dining area overlooking the rear garden and a large lounge to the front of the property overlooking the green.
Bedrooms and bathrooms
Goosebec has two good size double bedrooms and a single bedroom. All have built-in wardrobes. The master bedroom has a lovely ensuite shower room and there is a family bathroom on the same floor that serves the single and other double bedroom. Downstairs you will find a spacious cloakroom.
From both double bedrooms you can enjoy lovely views across the village green towards the church. But with such comfortable beds you will also enjoy being tucked up with the shutters shut, hidden away from the world!
If you’re an earlier riser, pop to the local deli; Humble Pie on a morning to buy croissants and provisions for breakfast and watch the village wake-up from its slumber in the early morning sunlight.
The fully-enclosed paved courtyard garden to the rear of the cottage provides a peaceful haven where you can chill out and relax. The back gate leads to your private parking area where there is space for two cars. To the front there is a small paved area with pretty flower borders, but you can also enjoy sitting on the village green which is immediately in front of the property. The narrow road in front only services Burnham Westgate Hall.
On a Monday morning during the summer months, the village holds a local auction on this green, which is tremendous fun to watch and participate in!
With some fabulous places to visit nearby, you will never be at a loss of what to do!
Choose from some wonderful beaches including Brancaster beach, Holkham, Wells-next-the-Sea or Old Hunstanton, or pack up a champagne picnic and head to one of the many beautiful stately homes including Holkham, Blikling or Felbrigg or of course you can go west to Sandringham; the residence of HM The Queen where you can easily spend a day enjoying a tour of the house and gardens.
To the right of the property just a few doors down is the renowned Hoste Arms, which boasts a fabulous local bar serving real ales, three restaurants and a wonderful garden area/room to the rear. It also has a beauty spa and hot tub where you can enjoy cocktails!
Children will love the steam trains, seeing the seals at Blakeney Point or getting on the boat from Morston and flying kites on the beach. If they are seeking more adventure, then head to Hilltop, Bewilderwood or Pensthorpe.
If you are feeling energetic, we can arrange for bikes or even a tandem to be delivered to the cottage to explore the quiet country lanes. In early summer you will be dazzled by the red poppies that line the verges and hedgerows.
We think there is nowhere quite like Norfolk when it comes to relaxation and rejuvenation. There is something about the big skies, wide open beaches, salty air, laid-back pace of life and unique quality of light that makes this such a special holiday destination.
This luxury self-catering cottage is well-equipped with an electric oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge with small freezer compartment and washing machine.
There is parking for two cars at the rear of the property, accessed via a private gravelled driveway.
Dogs are welcome at Goosebec by prior arrangement.
