Reception Rooms
This family-friendly and stylish cottage, close to the sandy beach and located in the popular coastal village of Brancaster, blends luxury fittings with stylish fabrics, all sprinkled with a jolly seaside theme, which will delight both adults and children alike.
With underfloor heating downstairs, your toes will be toasty in winter and with sunshine streaming through the French doors during lazy summer days, this house is just perfect for a week or so away or a short break in this beautiful part of North Norfolk.
The ground floor is divided into a kitchen/dinner with a table seating 8 and a very comfortable sitting room. The property also offers a TV/games room which is accessed via the rear garden. With plenty of seating, a small bar area and large TV/DVD plus an assortment of games, this space provides additional flexibility to this family-friendly property, perfect when the children want to escape and watch a different TV programme or you want some time-out maybe!
With a pretty south-facing garden, perfect for enjoying the salty sea air, the opportunities for relaxation and fun at this cottage are endless.
Well located in North Norfolk’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, renowned for its bird watching, beaches, sailing and golf, you will be spoilt for choice. The Royal West Norfolk Golf Club lies between the village and beach and provides a challenging links course.
Bedrooms and bathrooms
Guillemot is laid out over three floors with well-proportioned and spacious rooms.
Each of the three stylish bedrooms are beautifully furnished using a palette inspired by the coastal landscape and are full of light.
Two king size bedrooms are located on the first floor, both of which have plenty of storage facilities. The master bedroom also features an en-suite with double walk-in shower. A spacious and stylish family bathroom (also on the first floor) has a bath with shower over. Both bathrooms have heated towel rails.
On the top floor you’ll find a large bedroom with two double beds, a wall of built-in wardrobes and a new separate WC. Equally perfect for a family of four who wish to sleep in the same room or for when the children want to jump in together! Comfy beds and crisp linens will ensure you’ll all enjoy a relaxing night’s sleep.
There is a downstairs cloakroom on the ground floor.
Outside
On a sunny summer’s morning, enjoy breakfast on the terrace or in the spacious and well-equipped kitchen/breakfast room with the French doors open. Or spill out into the the pretty south-facing garden and read the newspapers, before planning your days excursions. On returning from a fun day on the beach, cook-up a BBQ and chill out with a glass of wine!
The cottage is well located in this ever-popular village. Walk or drive to the beach, buy fresh seafood from the Fish Shed on the hard at Brancaster Staithe where you will also find Brancaster’s natural harbour, fabulous sailing facilities and tennis courts or head to Thornham where you’ll find the coolest deli, pubs and restaurant.
The whole family can enjoy a spot of ‘gillying’ or crabbing, as it is more commonly known at Brancaster Staithe or nearby Thornham or a little further afield at Wells-next-the-Sea. There is also plenty of fun to be had at the Victorian seaside town of Hunstanton, with its watersports centre, sea life centre, pitch and putt, crazy golf course, swimming pool, amusements and fun fair.

Barefoot relaxation
After a good old fashioned day at the beach, enjoy a lively family BBQ before watching the sun go down on your perfect day.
There is plenty to do in the winter months too, with bird watching and walking right on your doorstep. The cottage is located close to the coastal path, but if you’re not feeling that energetic, there are plenty of places to eat and dine locally and to enjoy and discover.
The Ship serves up great food in its bar and restaurant which is just a short stroll away and The White Horse and Jolly Sailors in Brancaster Staithe provide excellent food and ales too. The award-winning Titchwell Manor in the next village is well worth a visit and offers fine dining in its beautiful conservatory and bar menu too.
The RSPB reserve at Titchwell is an absolute must for children and adults alike. A little further along the coast, the chic Georgian village of Burnham Market, with its beautiful independent shops, galleries, cafes and pubs is perfect for a spot of retail therapy. The Hoste Beauty Spa is worth a visit if you desire a little pampering while on holiday.
With all that North Norfolk has to offer in easy reach, you are sure to create wonderful holiday memories at this stylish cottage.
Facilities
There is off-street parking behind the property for a car, with additional roadside parking opposite the cottage. The property is well-equipped, with a washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and electric hob and double oven.
The TV/games room is accessed via the rear garden.
Dogs are very welcome at Guillemot, although they are restricted to the ground floor of the property and they are charged at £40 per dog per stay (Max of 2). There is an outside kennel available.
