This charming coastal brick and flint house is located in the heart of the beautiful village of Thornham. Recently renovated and transformed to create a comfortable self-catering holiday retreat with four bedrooms, one en-suite, a family bathroom and downstairs shower room, with a very spacious open plan living/dining/kitchen area to boot. Holly House is beautifully furnished in a characterful, rustic, relaxed country style and is in easy reach of the harbour, beach, pubs and deli/caf?s which make Thornham so popular throughout the year! Fantastically appointed for families and can also be booked as a sleeps 4 when out of peak season.


Holly House was previously the Old Wheelwrights. Now a characterful, modern and contemporary house which has been extended and refurbished over the years, it has now been transformed into a delightful luxury holiday retreat.
Situated well back from the road and enjoying a south facing garden, this luxury pad is sure to prove popular with families.
The property has many features including an internal well which you can view from the living area, open fireplaces with two wood burners and original features including oak and pamment tiled floors making it practical for families and four-legged friends.
After breakfast, wander down to the harbour and beyond, to reach the wonderful sandy beach and dunes that make Thornham so popular year round. Or head to Thornham Deli and order a picnic-to-go, then head off to one of the other nearby beaches, including Old Hunstanton, Brancaster, Holkham and Wells-next-the-Sea with its instantly recognisable beach huts.
Well located in the centre of the village, this comfortable cottage is light and bright throughout. On a warm summer’s day, fling open the French door and let the sunshine in before preparing lunch for alfresco dining on the rear terrace.

Bedrooms and bathrooms
Holly House features four generous sized bedrooms. On the ground floor you’ll find a double bedroom with separate downstairs shower room. Climb the central staircase and you’ll discover a further spacious double bedroom, a large King-size bedroom with en-suite shower room, a twin bedroom and a large family bathroom with bath and a separate shower cubicle. All the bedrooms are beautifully furnished and styled with contemporary furniture and Laura Ashley fabrics.
Outside
Relax in the south facing front garden or on the rear terrace and dine alfresco when the weather permits. Both are enclosed.
Once a smugglers haven, Thornham is now one of the loveliest villages along the North Norfolk coast and is located between Hunstanton and Burnham Market and is renowned for its sandy beaches and long walks, marshland bird reserve at nearby Titchwell and its small harbour. Boasting three pubs, a farm shop, fish and chip shop, yurt and retail shops plus a wonderful deli and caf? you will be spoilt for choice on where to eat!
The Lifeboat Inn is said to have been a haven for smugglers in the 16th Century and is now under the same management as The Chequers. Both award-winning pubs, as is Orange Tree you will feel like you have gone to foodies heaven when staying in Thornham! Head to Thornham Deli for breakfast, lunch or dinner or dine at Sketchers at Drove Orchards where you will be served rustic food in a Yurt! Eric’s Fish and Chips is also at Drove Orchards (where you can also pick your own fruit which is a must for the kids too!) The Royal West Norfolk Golf Club is a few miles along the coast as are the sailing facilities at Brancaster Staithe.
Barefoot relaxation
The large living area is full of treasured finds and comfortable furniture that complements the fabulous retro and contemporary touches, making this a quirky yet very relaxed haven after a day spent exploring the local beaches and coastal paths.
Child friendly and dog friendly this is a wonderful place to enjoy blissful summer holidays on North Norfolk’s glorious coast.
On a winter’s evening, snuggle down with a favourite film and let your toes be warmed in front of the wood burner.
Facilities
The open plan kitchen/dining area features an electric range oven, microwave, American fridge freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. There are two dining areas at the property, one in the kitchen and the other in the very large living area.
The property features an internal well with clear strengthened glass capping it, a real fascination to children!
There is off-street parking for two cars with further parking outside the property on the road if required.
Dogs are welcome but must be kept to the ground floor at all times.
