Guests staying at Hollybrook House will enjoy the quick access to many walks and cycleways that are nearby and/or pass through Aylmerton directly. Very quickly you can find yourself enjoying a quiet walk through the ancient woodlands that border the village and take you into the Felbrigg Estate. Travelling further leads you through the winding single track roads and countryside of this beautiful part of Norfolk.
In addition to the local horse riding, surfing at Cromer and fantastic walking and cycle routes, you also have three fantastic golf courses within a 5-10 minute drive. A golfing holiday could not be more convenient, look no further than the courses at West Runton, Cromer and Sheringham.
For the coastally inclined, the well-known destinations of Sheringham and Cromer are both only a short drive away, both offering a blend of traditional seaside charm and fantastic eateries. Most prominently, you will find Upstairs at Number 1 (and its wonderful chip shop below), run by the Michelin starred chef, Galton Blackiston of nearby Morston Hall. Further afield, The Gunton Arms, The Hunnybell at Hunworth and The Pigs at Edgefield all provide good options that are worth further investigation. Special mention goes to The Bucket List at Overstrand, a completely unique experience that combines food and a fantastic setting. Be sure to take a deck chair and a bottle of wine!
Kitchen & Dining Room
A room that houses so many little touches it makes it difficult to remember them all. Particular favourites are the colourful pieces on the walls that depict lollies and jelly babies. They really are something that the team at Barefoot enjoy!
You also have a large dining table with banqueting seating around. For those that enjoy a long and lazy meal, you’ll happily set up camp here for the night. Mounted alongside the table on the wall, you have a Smart TV.
The kitchen is open plan to the dining room and the chef of the group will never be far away from the action.
Facilities are generous and modern, giving guests the use of a range cooker, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a large worktop space for preparation. The kitchen is also fully stocked with a complete Barefoot inventory of crockery, cutlery and utensils.
Cool and comfortable, with plenty of comfortable seating, this is the perfect place to unwind and relax after a day of exploration. The room also has French doors that open to the enclosed rear garden, perfect for keeping an eye on the children, while relaxing yourself. In the colder months, make use of the feature wood burner and gather round for an evening of board games or movies.
The room also has a generously sized Smart TV.
Bedrooms & Bathroom
Four bedrooms await, one on the ground and three on the 1st floor. Each has their own style, all offering good storage and a peaceful night’s rest in a comfortable bed;
Bedroom one is on the ground floor and offers a king-sized double bed with window that looks onto the rear garden.
Bedrooms two and three are both on the 1st floor and both have twin beds with extra long mattresses. As with all rooms on the first floor, the use of light and the geometry of the ceilings create interesting patterns, giving an intimate ambiance to the spacious rooms.
The master bedroom is also on the 1st floor and it features a super-king double bed. The room is served by a walk-in wardrobe (for those of you that just can’t decide what to bring with you) and is en-suite with an extremely generous bathroom. Here you have the use of a good-sized bath that has a hand shower attachment, separate walk-in shower, WC and basin. Particular mention goes to the repurposed taps that now act as a place to hang cloths from.
On the 1st floor landing, you will find the family bathroom. It features bath with hand shower, large walk-in shower, WC and basin.
There is also a WC on the ground floor.
A convenient utility area houses a washing machine and tumble dryer. This can be found on the ground floor.
The enclosed rear garden provides many added benefits for guests. With its private setting, enclosed nature, ample seating and the astroturfed area, all ages should be able to enjoy the space. On the astroturfed area, you’ll also find a large corner sofa, with yet more seating near the gas BBQ. During the summer, the garden sees a good amount of sun throughout much of the day.
Adjacent to Holly Brook House, you have off-road parking for 4 cars.
