Bedrooms & Bathroom
Of the five bedrooms all but one are located on the first floor, and all are well proportioned with en-suite facilities and TV’s. You’ll never be arguing over who is next in the bathroom at Hornbeam!
Bedroom one is decorated in subtle tones and offers a relaxing and comfortable space. Located on the ground floor and features a zip and link bed that can be made into a pair of twin beds or a super king. The en suite is equipped with an Aqualisa shower and bath. For any guests with mobility concerns this is an ideal room, the only cautionary note would be that the shower is over the bath. Please note that this bedroom is made up as a super king unless specified.
Bedroom two, the first floor Master overlooks the sunny rear garden and offers a super king bed and ample storage. This uncluttered and comfortable haven is a getaway from the pressures of modern living and the equally spacious twin person Jacuzzi bath plus separate body jet Jacuzzi shower. One for the grown ups!
Bedroom three has a zip and link super king which may be split into two 3ft singles, with another larger en suite offering shower over bath. Please note that this bedroom is made up as a Super King unless specified otherwise.
Bedroom four is decorated in greens and blues and has another zip and link bed which can be set up as a 6ft super king or two 3ft singles, complete with an en suite with shower over bath. This bedroom is made up as a twin room unless specified otherwise.
Bedroom five is a bright twin bedded room situated at the front of the property. It also features an en suite with shower over bath.
The rear garden has recently benefited from extensive planting and the rejuvenated space is perfect for relaxing with the family and/or a glass of wine. The garden is also fully enclosed and offers a private, safe and secure area. In the summer it is often a warm sun trap so what better excuse is needed to fire up the barbeque.
The property offers generous off-road parking for up to five cars, ideal for large groups. Please be aware that the drive to the left of the property is for the neigbouring property to the rear and to please not block access.
Hornbeam has all of the equipment that you would want and expect from a property of this size and quality. The kitchen has an Aga, American style fridge/freezer with ice-dispenser, dishwasher, microwave and is fully set-up for group catering with utensils, crockery and glassware.
The main lounge features large TV, wood burner and plenty of sofas to sink into. A great room for the adults to relax in whilst the younger members (or the competitive adults) enjoy the table foosball found in the games room.
The open plan garden room is adjacent to the lounge and offers a large flat-screen TV and even more comfy seating. This room acts as a linking space between the kitchen, dining room and rear garden, and can be opened up using the bi-fold doors. On a summers day the set-up of this room really comes into its own, al fresco dining couldn’t be easier.
Hornbeam also offers two dining areas. The first is in the kitchen that is best used for breakfast in conjunction with a newspaper and something with caffeine in. The main dining room can seat up to 16 guests and could easily host pre-dinner drinks and a sit down meal. When coupled with the other lounges, garden room. You also have the full use of the wood-burner in the lounge, for which a complimentary starter pack of logs and kindling are provided between October and April.
Located a few minutes from the coast in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Burnham Market is for many the jewel in North Norfolk’s crown. Set in the heart of the royal coast, this stunning Georgian village has a green surrounded by 18th century houses, shops, chic boutiques and The Hoste, one of the most popular places to eat and drink in North Norfolk and only a five minute walk from the cottage. With an abundance of small village shops including a butcher, fresh fish shop, green grocers, wine merchant and deli you are spoilt for choice.
All-weather tennis courts can be found an easy stroll away on the village playing field.
A short drive and you’ll discover the sailing harbours at Brancaster Staithe and Burnham Overy Staithe and the beaches and Royal West Norfolk Golf Course at Brancaster. Historic Holkham with its wonderful white sandy beach and Wells-next-the-Sea with its beach huts are a short drive away too.
Don’t forget that Barefoot can arrange for bikes to be delivered to the property if you fancy exploring the quiet lanes and beautiful countryside. Collect your picnic from Humble Pie in the village and head to the coast!If you don’t want to stray too far, then enjoy an al fresco dining experience making full use of the BBQ or simply get lost in a good book in the sunny garden.
