Orbis House is a beautifully eclectic cottage in the pretty village of Little Walsingham. Offering a unique retreat close to the beaches at Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham, this luxury self-catering bolthole is set in a secluded location just a short stroll into the village where you will find plenty of shops, cafe's and eateries, including the Black Lion pub which is popular with locals and visitors alike. Stylishly furnished throughout, this beautifully restored cottage which was formerly a chapel is also within an easy walk of The Shrine of Our Lady and Walsingham Abbey, famous for the spectacular ruins of the medieval priory which are a place of pilgrimage and during the spring, for its amazing displays of snowdrops.
Orbis House is a lovely cottage, which is well located in the centre of Walsingham, one of England’s most famous villages. Originally a Methodist Chapel this two double bedroom house has been totally and tastefully renovated to a high standard by the owners.
With a boutique feel throughout, it is relaxed and beautifully styled and is just a few minutes’ walk into the centre of the village.
Enjoy early morning coffee and breakfast on the little terrace to the front of the cottage, or spend a lazy afternoon reading in the sunny conservatory with a glass of bubbly in hand.

Perfect as a hideaway for two or four, this little romantic retreat is a little gem with kitsch appeal and is great as a getaway pad any time of the year but particularly out of season to when you just need to recharge your batteries!
Bedrooms and bathrooms
There’s a definite romantic flavour to the upstairs bedrooms. With two double bedrooms, dressed in crisp linens and eclectic artwork and furnishings, this beautiful bolthole will make you feel relaxed and at home from the moment you arrive.
The family bathroom features a bath with shower over and offers plenty of space to relax with a glass of champagne on an evening, whilst the fluffy bathrobes and towels ensure a blissful pampering and sleeping experience.
The pretty terrace to the front is a delightful sun trap and has seating and table provided.
Within a few miles of the coast, Walsingham is ideal for visiting Burnham Market, Blakeney and the beaches at Wells-next-the-Sea, Holkham or Brancaster. It is also in easy reach of the pretty market town of Holt and you can easily get out into the picturesque countryside which surrounds this delightful village.
Walsingham has welcomed visitors since 1061 and is listed in the Doomsday Book and has been a place of pilgrimage since the time of Henry III. With remarkable shrines, medieval architecture and a rural beauty which is truly in touch with the natural rhythms of the seasons, the village boasts a fantastic farm shop, the finest chocolate shop you will ever encounter, a perfect pub and restaurant ? The Black Lion ? perfect on a Friday night or any evening for that matter and a fabulous fish and chip shop and restaurant.
Walsingham is undoubtedly a special place and holds a unique place in history as the premier place of pilgrimage in England, making it a great place to escape from the burdens of everyday life.
With some fabulous restaurants and eateries on your doorstep and fresh produce in abundance, you will be spoilt for choice.
On a clear night you’ll find this location is perfect for stargazing due to Norfolk’s black skies and lack of light pollution.
The owners have provided two classic Swedish bikes for those who want to meander around the village lanes at their leisure.
There is parking in the nearby public car park about a 100 yard walk away which offers 24 hour parking for a nominal charge. There is a dish washer, electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer and washer plus microwave. There is a FreeSat TV in the lounge.
