Over Norton has been beautifully renovated and furnished to an exceptionally high standard. The large windows in every room fill the house with an abundance of natural light and give it a beautifully light and airy feel. The layout of the property has been thoughtfully designed to easily accommodate families and friends of varying ages and abilities.
Located on the outskirts of Burnham Market, you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity of country life, while in less than 5 minutes you can walk to the centre of the village where you will find an array of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. Alternatively, take a 5-minute drive in the opposite direction and you will find yourself on the stunning North Norfolk coast with a plethora of sandy beaches to choose from. The property also benefits from its own amazing countryside views so make sure you bring your binoculars!
From the outside, Over Norton may look like an ordinary bungalow, but as soon as you step inside you are welcomed into an ultra-modern tardis! The entrance hall is long, wide and spacious with stunning oak flooring and beautiful furnishings and navigates to every part of the house.
To start with, hang your coats and store away your shoes to feel right at home. Immediately leading off the hallway is the bunk room followed by the super king bedroom. At the end of the hall, head through the double doors into the dining/living area, which also joins to the kitchen. There is also a ground floor shower room and a separate utility room before leading up the stairs to the first floor.
The modern open plan dining/living area overlooks the pretty rear garden and comprises and extendable dining table, allowing the option to seat 6 or 8 guests, and a cosy lounge area.
The lounge features a large corner sofa with two additional chairs – comfortably seating the whole party, a large Smart TV with Sonos sound bar and a cosy wood burning stove for snuggling around in the winter. There is also a small adjoining garden room, the perfect place for some peace and quiet! Take some time to yourself to enjoy a good book or a relaxing morning coffee and newspaper while listening to the chatter of the birds in the garden. In the summer you can open the doors out into the garden and take in the fresh countryside air.
Next door to the dining/living area is the well-equipped contemporary kitchen which overlooks the rear garden. Here you will find everything you could possibly need during your stay and top of the range appliances, including a large built in fridge/freezer, a Belfast sink with an extendable tap, dishwasher, oven and hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and cafetiere.
There is also a separate utility room where you will find the washing machine, tumble dryer, a stainless-steel sink and a second fridge/freezer.
There are four individually designed and beautifully furnished bedrooms sleeping up to 8 people.
Bedroom 1 – The ground floor bunk room has been furnished with fashionable yellow accessories and features a Smart TV, hanging space and shelving for storing your clothes.
Bedroom 2 – A sophisticated ground floor master bedroom, featuring a super King size bed, two built in wardrobes, a chest of drawers and a Smart TV. This room also has the added bonus of its own en suite wet room decorated with beautiful blue statement tiles and features a walk-in shower with the choice of rain fall effect or power shower option, sink, WC, and heated towel rail.
Bedroom 3 – This elegant King size bedroom is located on the first floor and provides two built in wardrobes, a chest of drawers and a Smart TV. The most notable feature of this room is the amazing views over 2 aspects; one overlooking the garden to the side of the house and the other overlooking the rear garden and surrounding countryside with views across to Burnham Overy Town, Burnham Norton and to the sea in the distance.
Bedroom 4 – Set on the first floor, this bedroom features a double bed, hanging space and drawer storage, a Smart TV and an adjacent relaxed seating area with a 2-seater sofa. This room also benefits from the stunning views over the rear garden and surrounding countryside, looking across to Burnham Overy Town, Burnham Norton and to the sea in the distance.
On the ground floor there is a separate shower room decorated with stunning dark grey stone tiles and featuring a walk-in shower, WC, sink and a unique heated towel pole.
There is a stylish family bathroom located on the first floor featuring a bath with shower over, sink, WC and a heated towel rail.
The master super King bedroom also has its own en suite wet room as detailed above.
To the rear of the property there is an established garden that is fully enclosed and backs on to the surrounding fields, affording beautiful countryside views across to the old Watermill at Burnham Overy Town, the round towered church at Burnham Norton and beyond to the Sea in the distance. The perimeter is lined with hedging and established trees which keep the garden private. There is a central lawn area which is surrounded by planted borders packed with an array of pretty shrubs, flowers and grasses. This garden is a real haven for birds and wildlife and if you look around you will find some hidden nesting boxes so you can watch the Blue Tits come and go to feed their young. To the front of the property there is off road parking for 4 cars on the gravel drive.
