Created to offer groups of families and friends a comfortable and luxurious stay and complete with many modern touches that make the house a pleasure to inhabit, Oystercatcher is a real gem! With a maximum occupancy of six people across its four bedrooms, guests can enjoy the space offered in the generous living areas, all of which are joined through superb design. By using the large bifold doors, you are able to open the lounge and kitchen/dining room to the enclosed rear garden, here you will find further seating and a summer house. This really is a property that everyone will have space to relax in.
Kitchen and Dining Area
A convenient hub where much time is sure to be spent, the open plan kitchen and dining area is well-appointed and thoughtfully staged in a way that encourages a lazy start to the day. The room provides ample seating for all with chairs for six people around the dining table, two comfortable arm chairs next to the bifold doors and three upright stools at the breakfast bar. With the dining table positioned next to the bifold doors, you can enjoy those long and musky summers evenings and forget all about the time or having to be up for work.
For those that cannot do without, there is also a wall mounted TV by the table, useful for catching the news over breakfast or for pacifying the children whilst tea is being prepared.
The kitchen offers a modern space that contains an integrated oven, grill, dishwasher, large fridge with freezer, wine fridge, induction hob and a nespresso machine (pods not provided). You really could not wish for more and cooking is a pleasure here. A full inventory of crockery, cutlery and glassware is also provided.
A super room with plenty of comfortable lounge seating for eight people. Whether you are gathering around the large TV with Bose sound-bar, or lighting the feature wood-burner and creating an intimate atmosphere (or both!), this room is perfect for all occasions.
Access to the rear garden can also be gained through the bifold doors.
Adjacent to the kitchen, you’ll find the utility room. Facilities include a washer/dryer and a Belfast sink.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Oystercatcher provides four quiet, 1st floor bedrooms.
Bedroom one is the master bedroom and features a king size bed, wall hanging space, chest of drawers, dressing table and a full length mirror. This room aslo benefits from having its own en suite with a walk-in shower, hand basin and WC.
Bedroom two overlooks the rear garden and has a king size bed, a built-in wardrobe, dressing table and a full length mirror.
Bedrooms three and four offer single beds that overlook the garden.
On the ground floor there is a cloakroom providing a WC and hand basin.
The family bathroom is situated on the 1st floor landing and has a bath, a separate walk-in shower, WC, sink and a heated towel rail.
Being fully enclosed, the rear garden is especially good for children and dogs, where you can be safe in the knowledge of knowing exactly where they are! The bifold doors from the lounge and the kitchen both open into the garden and this brings the whole area together as a more unified space.
While being great for kids, the garden is also ideal for the adults too. Complete with rattan seating and a large gas BBQ, there will always be the option of firing it up and enlisting the chef of your group to burn some food. The summer room also provides another haven and is great as a playroom for the children. Equally, a book in some peace and quiet is also a good option that ordinary life does not provide time for.
The property also has off-road parking at the front for up to three cars.
Syderstone is a short drive from the coast and within 10 miles you can find the popular coastal villages and towns of Old Hunstanton, Holme-next-the-Sea, Thornham and Titchwell. Some great beaches, places to eat, walks and nature reserves all await your exploration!
The Sandringham estate is also close by and is always great for walking. By paying admission, you can also view the walled gardens and the museum. A great day out for all.
Just down the road from Oystercatcher, you also have Syderstone common, being a Norfolk Wildlife Trust reserve, it provides a home to some interesting wildlife and is perfect for dog walkers.
As is typical of North Norfolk, there are plenty of places to try for a nice meal. High on the list you have the Rose and Crown at Snettisham, The Duck at Stanhoe, The Dabbling Duck at Great Massingham and the Orange Tree in Thornham.
