Located in Letheringsett, within walking distance of the village pub and only a two minute drive away from the award winning Back to the Garden. Close to Holt and a short drive to sandy beaches, this cottage backs onto the River Glaven and open countryside offering good walking and bird watching opportunities.
Originally part of the Bayfield Estate, this delightful flint Dutch gable semi-detached cottage is in a truly idyllic location with the rear garden running down to the River Glaven and views from the bedrooms over the Glaven Valley.
Idyllically positioned in the North Norfolk countryside, yet only a short walk to the village pub which serves good ales and food and the farm shop/restaurant where you can grab breakfast, lunch or an early supper,this property has a modern and contemporary feel, yet is spacious and cosy too. Once you’ve arrived at River Cottage we’re sure you won’t want to leave.
Although this house is spacious and boasts a wonderful open plan living/dining/sitting area sleeping a maximum of six people, this cottage would also make a beautiful love nest for two. Spend your time cuddled up in front of the wood burner or basking in the summer sunshine on the terrace outside, accessed via the bi-fold doors during the summer months.

With lovely country walks, bird watching and dog walking right on your door step and just a short drive to the coast, this cottage offers so much.
Bedrooms and bathrooms
All three bedrooms are beautifully appointed with comfortable beds, crisp white linens, beautiful throws and heavy curtains, all designed to ensure you enjoy a restful night’s sleep. The two upstairs bedrooms at the property – one twin and one king – share a luxurious family bathroom with a free standing claw foot bath, perfect for relaxing and pampering yourself after a busy day exploring the North Norfolk coast. There is a further king size bedroom and walk-in shower downstairs. The latter features a walk-in rain shower for an invigorating start to the day.
A lovely terrace accessed via the bi-fold doors will tempt you into dining al fresco as much as you can and you’re sure to be charmed by the fantastic views down to the River Glaven which flows past at the bottom of the garden.
This wonderfully peaceful and private garden consists of a gently sloping lawn area. Whether taking in the views, or just reclining in the sun with a good book, peace and quiet are the order of the day at River Cottage.
You can walk from the cottage to the pub and farm shop in less than ten minutes and it’s just a 40 minute walk into Holt, a charming Georgian town where you’ll enjoy plenty of retail therapy and will be enticed by the charming cafe’s and eateries.
Alternatively head across the valley and enjoy a stunning amble through woodland and fields where you might be lucky enough to see deer, hares and numerous birds. Watch out for the kingfishers who swoop across the river.
The beautiful beaches of Wells-next-the-Sea, Holkham and pretty villages of Blakeney and Cley-next-the-Sea are just a short drive away from this blissful cottage.
Chill-out, kick-back and sink into the comfy sofas and relax in front of the large wood burner in the open plan living area. This light and bright room lets the sunshine in but on a grey day cosy down with a film of your choice.
When the weather is good, you’ll just want to spend your time in the garden.
Off-road parking for three cars is available on the private driveway to the side of the property. The cottage is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave.
There is a washing machine and tumble dryer in the separate utility room. You also have an feature area which is perfect for storing coats and walking boots.
One dog are welcome but owners are requested to bring dog beds for their four-legged friend. There is an outside dog kennel with excellent insulation, if required. Dogs are not permitted in any of the bedrooms, on any of the soft furnishings or upstairs and should not be left unattended in the property unless in a crate.
