Offering true peace and tranquillity while absorbing the wondrous views across the marshes and creeks to Blakeney Point. Location
One mile west of Blakeney, the unspoilt village of Morston is situated in the largest sheltered harbour on the North Norfolk Coast. This area is famous for its wildlife all year round – wildfowl in the Winter, nesting terns in the Summer, and large colonies of grey and common seals all year round on the sandbanks of Blakeney Point.
Sailing and boating are popular in the “Pit” which provides large areas of sheltered water when the tide is in. Long walks and spectacular views are available all year round. Morston boasts the fabulous Michelin-starred Morston Hall, and the newly refurbished Anchor Inn provides good local food.
Wells Harbour, Blakeney Quay and Morston all offer a great opportunity to try crabbing and the seal trips from Morston are the best way to experience the wildlife on Blakeney Point. Charter the famous JUNO from Blakeney Harbour for wonderful views of the North Norfolk coast. But, if you are looking for lovely beaches, Holkham and Wells-next-the-Sea are not to be missed and Sheringham also offers an award-winning family beach too. This length of North Norfolk coast is wonderful for bird watching as well.
