Nestled in a peaceful spot in the village of Brancaster, Seagate House combines fabulous location with prodigious accommodation to provide the perfect base for a luxurious and entertaining holiday for all the family! Set just a stone’s throw from the coastal path and within walking distance to the beach, this striking property also benefits from a number of unique ‘extras’ such as a Sauna, BBQ hut, trampoline and Shuffleboard to keep everyone entertained. With spacious accommodation set across multiple levels it almost feels like you are in a cruise ship!
As you enter through the Yellow door you are welcomed into the spacious entrance hall where you will find a quirky wall of hooks for hanging your coats and plenty of room to tidily store your boots and shoes. This hallway leads to the ground floor bedroom with adjacent bathroom and up to the first floor where you will find the living areas and a relaxed seating area for two over-looking the beautiful rear garden.
The large and spacious lounge is furnished with a huge ‘U’ shaped comfy sofa for everyone to sink into together! Open up the shutters to fill the room with natural light or keep them closed for the ultimate cinema experience on the large smart TV with surround sound! In the Summer months you can open the French doors onto the patio to unify the interior and exterior spaces, or in the winter months you can light the wood burner and hunker down in comfort!
Also in this room there is an authentic American Shuffleboard to play on! Friendly competition is advised at all times!
Located on the first floor, the stunning contemporary kitchen/diner provides the real hub of this house. The kitchen area is very well-equipped with a large Rangemaster cooker, induction hob, 2 dishwashers, an integrated tall fridge and a separate freezer, Quooker tap, kettle, toaster and a Nespresso machine. The dining area comfortably seats 12 guests around a beautifully bespoke, hand-made oak table.
Joining the end of the kitchen/diner you will find the striking snug area! With colourful oriental themed wallpaper and furnishings to match, this is the perfect area for those looking for a quiet place to relax in. Perfect any time of year, in the summer months you can open up the doors onto the garden to enjoy the fresh coastal air or light the wood burner in the winter months to make it warm and cosy!
Adjoining the kitchen/diner, the utility room is equipped with a microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer, sink, iron, ironing board and drying rack.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
There are six individually designed bedrooms located across four floors.
Bedroom 1: “The Green Room” is located on the ground floor overlooking the side garden where the trampoline is situated. Thoughtfully furnished with a double bed, freestanding wardrobe with drawers, feature fireplace and a relaxed seating area for two. Adjacent to the bedroom is the en suite with a large walk-in rain effect shower, wash hand basin, WC and heated towel rail. Please note that the shower has handrails built in to assist those with mobility issues.
Located on the ground floor you will find a cloakroom, which can be accessed from the kitchen/diner. This room is decorated with unique, striking diamond effect Gecko wallpaper and is equipped with a WC and a hand wash basin.
Bedroom 2: Located on the second floor, this elegant room is furnished with a king size bed, a built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers, dressing table with mirror and stool and even has a stylish port hole window. This room also benefits from having an en suite bathroom adjacent, featuring a rain effect shower over the bath with an additional hand-held power shower, a wash hand basin, WC and a heated towel rail.
Bedroom 3: Set on the third floor is the spacious master bedroom. This room has been beautifully furnished with a king size bed, feature fireplace, a large built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers, Smart TV, a relaxed seating area for two, dressing table and chair and an ottoman storage chest. This room also boasts its own balcony providing stunning views over the surrounding countryside and towards the coast. There is also an en suite with a large walk-in rain effect shower, hand basin, WC and a heated towel rail.
Bedroom 4: Also on the third floor is the double bunk room – the perfect base for the children within your group! Each bunk has its own built-in storage shelves and the owner has thoughtfully added glow in the dark strips to the edge of the ladders in case anybody needs to get up in the night! The room also features a walk-in wardrobe and additional wall hanging space located behind the door.
Bedroom 5: Located on the third floor, this African themed room features a king size bed, large built-in wardrobes, a dressing table with chair and mirror, and a comfy sofa providing somewhere to relax and enjoy some quiet time.
Set at the end of the third floor there is a family shower room which services the bunk room, African room and attic room (when used). The shower room is equipped with a large walk-in rain effect shower, wash hand basin, WC and a heated towel rail.
Hidden away on the fourth floor there is also an attic room with two futon beds which is only suitable for children/teenagers. Please let us know at the time of booking if you require the use of this room.
The beautiful garden areas have been transformed and landscaped to create something for everyone!
From the kitchen/diner you can head out into the main garden area that has been beautifully landscaped with a combination of lawn, patio and gravel and has been planted with attractive grasses, lavender and wildflowers. There is an al fresco dining area positioned on the patio area to accommodate everyone in your party.
There is also a unique Finlandic BBQ hut featuring a central charcoal BBQ (you will be supplied with 1 bag of ‘instant light’ charcoal to get your holiday off to the best possible start!). The surrounding seating is furnished with Reindeer hides to maintain the Nordic theme and can fit up to 14 people inside! The hut also has built-in internal lighting allowing the hut to double up as the perfect cosy spot for a romantic snuggle when not being used as a BBQ!
There is also a decorative rowing boat set in the ground which the kids will love to play in!
At the rear of the house there is a Sauna located in the converted garage that can fit up to 8 people at a time. Get it warmed up, hop in and relax in the heat while all of your stresses melt away!
Next to this there is a trampoline which has been sunken into ground level and is surrounded by artificial turf – perfect for the kids to bounce away their energy!
The large driveway provides off-road parking for up to 8 cars, along with an electric car charging point.
Please note, the garden is fully enclosed when the driveway gate is closed.
