They say each home tells a story and at Wagg Courtyard there is no exception. They are situated on the previous site of Docking Rural Workshops which provides a gentle nod back to its former beginnings. Following a 4-year careful restoration of the courtyards these loose gatherings of agriculture barns and cottage buildings have been meticulously transfigured into 7 beautiful and characterful homes. In keeping with their endearing history, each home boasts carefully selected materials that have been chosen to compliment the robust, unfussy homely nature of the existing brick and flint facades. From handmade contemporary windows that take their cue from the framing devices used in vernacular buildings of the local areas to the red pantiles that effortlessly delivers a ribbon that ties the courtyards together. Each detail has been specifically chosen to assist in retaining the homes distinctive roots.
The décor of each home has been individually curated and guests will experience specially sourced textiles and art from around the UK to create a warm and comfortable atmosphere. However, it is the collaborations with local textile experts, skilled craftsmen and artists that really provide a magical surprise and delight and ensure that each home provides an individual and luxurious stay in this rural oasis.
Each home boasts a delightful and unique space set, allowing guests time to relax and indulge in the most stunning backdrop.
