Easter holidays North Norfolk

Share

With spring in full swing Easter holidays is the perfect time to visit North Norfolk.

The coastal path buzzes with wonderful wildlife – bees; swallows and migrant geese returning home.  Stately homes and historical landmarks open to visitors, lambing season begins, the days are longer, the skies are bluer, and the weather is warmer.  Easter in North Norfolk blends traditional celebrations with the natural beauty of the area. Check out some of the activities and features we recommend during your Easter holiday in North Norfolk.

EASTER EGG HUNTS

Nothing says Easter in North Norfolk like an epic Easter egg hunt through the magical grounds of a National Trust or English Heritage stately home.  Where children can star in their very own Burnett novel exploring the beautiful secret gardens and expansive parks while searching for chocolate treats hidden amongst the flora and fauna.

BEACHES & COASTAL VILLAGES

North Norfolk is renowned for its stunning coastline with sandy beaches, dusty dunes, and soul stirring salt marshes. Easter is the perfect time to toe dip along the shore, perhaps even enjoying a picnic if the weather permits.  Explore charming coastal towns and villages such as Wells-next-the-Sea, Thornham, Blakeney and Brancaster. These places often have special Easter events, think local markets, exhibitions, pop ups and boutique shops.  Not to mention the abundance of delicious eateries – breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, delis, cafes, pubs, and award-winning restaurants.

STEAM TRAINS

All aboard The North Norfolk Railway, or the “Poppy Line” as it’s often referred to for a historic and scenic steam train ride through the countryside. A ‘steam into spring event’ is running from 29th March – 1st April.

Jump aboard the Wells & Walsingham Light Railway – the world’s smallest public railway! 4th – 19th April for an Alice in Wonderland adventure Easter trail.
