The History of Brancaster
When it comes to local legends and emphatic histories, this trifecta of villages is about as colourful as any can get. With a name rooted in Roman history, a church celebrating Saxon architecture and a Norman fort hiding in plain sight, there are centuries of stories to uncover, including the shipwreck of SS Vina that became immortalised on the sands of Brancaster in 1944.
