Bathed in natural light and thoughtfully designed, this stylish escape is a haven of soft coastal tones, elegant furnishings, and effortless comfort. Mornings begin with slow sips of coffee while gazing over the fields, afternoons unfold in the secluded garden framed by gabion stone and weathered wood, and evenings invite you to unwind in a space designed for pure relaxation.

Inside:

On the ground floor you’ll discover a cosy, yet light filled open-plan lounge, dining and kitchen space with access onto the back garden and coastal countryside views beyond – the perfect space for entertaining. Upstairs two sumptuous boutique bedrooms await, one en-suite and a spacious family bathroom made for long leisurely soaks after a day exploring the coastline.

Outside:

To the rear of the property there is a beautifully landscaped, secluded south facing garden where you can while away the hours soaking up the sun. Turn on the lights and you can continue to enjoy the outside long into the evening beneath the big starry sky. There is an outdoor dining set on the patio, with an additional raised terrace offering a more relaxed seating area.

Whether you’re seeking windswept beach walks, al fresco suppers under big Norfolk skies, or simply a place to pause and reset, Number 42 is the perfect coastal escape.

Living Areas

The stylishly furnished open-plan living area provides the perfect social hub for your group to come together while still enjoying your own activities. With natural light streaming in through the patio doors, you can dine with a view or snuggle in the cosy lounge.

The well-equipped kitchen includes a built-in oven and induction hob, fridge freezer, an integrated dishwasher, microwave, a large sink, Nespresso coffee machine (pods not provided), a toaster, and a kettle.

The lounge area features a generous sofa, and a cosy armchair arranged around the large Smart TV along with a well-stocked games cupboard providing entertainment for the whole family.

The dining table comfortably seats four and is set over-looking the lovely rear garden and fields beyond.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms

Bedroom 1: This elegant room is furnished with a king size bed, built-in wardrobe, free-standing chest of drawers, and relaxed seating. This room is serviced by the neighbouring family bathroom.

Bedroom 2: This sophisticated room is furnished with a king size bed, built-in wardrobe, and a free-standing chest of drawers. This room boasts its own en suite with a large walk-in rainfall shower with additional hand-held shower option, hand basin, heated towel rail, and a WC.

Family Bathroom: Located on the first floor and offering a bath with shower over, hand basin, WC, and heated towel rail.

There is also a WC located on the ground floor.

Quick guide to your location

Being almost opposite Harbour Way, guests at Number 42 will be delighted to have such quick access to the coastal path, the harbour, with its fleet of sailing boats, and the beaches of Brancaster and Burnham Overy Staithe to the east and the west.

A key destination for any visit to the North Norfolk coast, the Brancasters offer a wide range of activities and opportunities for all ages. Both villages have been formed around the ‘coast road’ (A149) and can easily be explored by walking the pathways that link the two together. You will find excellent places to eat, offering locally caught produce from the harbour at Brancaster Staithe, mussels and oysters are real local delicacies but a special mention goes to samphire which can only be found in Norfolk (and contains more iron than spinach!). To the east, The White Horse and The Jolly Sailors are both within a 10 minute walk, with The Ship being a thirty minute walk to the west.

Brancaster also offers one of the UK’s most challenging links courses, the Royal West Norfolk. The adjacent beach features spectacular wildlife including seals, waders, skylarks and the odd passing hobby. For those looking to explore the surrounding seas and creeks, boats and canoes can be hired from Brancaster Staithe harbour. For the uninitiated, why not begin your sailing with some expert training with the local experts.

What a wonderful place. We loved our stay at No42. It catered for all of our needs. It is in a perfect location. We loved beautiful coastal walks, a great lunch at The White Horse and fun at the beach. Was lovely to come back and sit relaxing in the garden. The weather was beautiful, we will definitely be back again.

No42 is a lovely place to stay. The house is really comfortable, has great decor and is well equipped. The garden is fab, such a relaxing place to sit after a day out. A lovely house, very well equipped with everything you could need. Thank you for the fan - it was greatly appreciated in the hot weather! A great location, we walked and cycled along the coast. Good food at The Orange Tree Thornham, The White House at Brancaster Staithe and The Hoste at Burnham Market, The Thornham Deli and The Bakery a The White Horse Holme. We have been to this part of Norfolk many times and look forward to coming back!

Such a wonderful house with everything you need - a real home from home! Our weather was perfect and we had many trips to the beaches. We absolutely love Norfolk, and will certainly return. Lovely meals in the local pubs, being only a walk away is also great!
