North Norfolk Golf courses: Where should you tee off?

A championship links golf course located in old Hunstanton with breath-taking coastal views.  It was founded in 1891 and considered one of the best links courses in the country.  The course was designed by professional golfer James Braid and has hosted many prestigious events including the British and English Ladies Amateur Championships, five Brabazon Trophies and three English Amateur Championships.

The course is known for its challenging layout, with undulating fairways, fast greens, and plenty of hazards.  The signature hole is the par-3 16th, known as ‘Ship’ which requires a precise tee shot over a ravine and onto a small green surrounded by the bunkers.

Hunstanton offers a range of facilities including a club house, pro shop, practice facilities and a restaurant.  The course is open to visitors (dogs welcome on leads) and is playable almost every day of the year due to the excellent drainage system.
